ICEC Land Corporation started as a copra exporting company. They owned three copra plantations, 2 in Zamboanga and 1 in Davao. The company was at full performance in 1996, so in 1997 the management decided to build their own building known as, Luy Kim Guan (LKG) Tower at Ayala, Makati.
